  • Understand the physical factors and chemical mediators responsible for maintaining normal fluid homeostasis.
  • Be able to identify the factors responsible for thrombogenesis and thrombolysis; and be able to discuss clinical situations where the balance between the two is disrupted.
  • Characterize the tissue response to thrombosis and/or embolism.
